July July Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. Aug. It's all Greek to us as we rehearse for the Pageant. We feast in the Pine Grove with notable lack of restraint. Rondack returns to its bunks punch-drunk and hot-dog tipsyf' The fruits of Mr. Cohn's visit turn out to be cherries. In the evening a diet of romance and moths with the Girl of the Limberlostf' A full day of activities includes baseball, basketball. volleyball, tennis ball, golfball, and croquet ball. In the evening the Seniors have a Ball all their own. Hail! Hail! and how it hails! Mr. Chankin dares to read the package list, overcoming all alphabetical difliculties. In the evening, teams meet. Ye Gods and Goddesses descend from Mount Olympus for Pageant dress rehearsal. Weatlier remains hot stuff. Rondack presents green pageant grounds, blue skies. and The Golden Apple. The Greeks did have a word for it-excellent! In the evening we row our boats gently down the stream. Dacks emerge wet and triumphant from swim meet. Cheers ring for Julia Doelid and Ruth Obler, our diving belles. l and l equal a surprise birthday cake for bunk l l. Councillors demolish campers and spectators in side-splitting basketball fracas. All around the campus in an active day. We behave like Indians in games around the campfire. Here comes Rondack -to Glens Falls, Ti. Ausable, Blue Morin- tain and a-riding. Here Come the Marines -to Rondack in the evening. Campers get all the breaks as life saving begins. Dack freshies clock up golf and croquet victories. Seniors in a receptive mood for Senior night. Follow the gleam in Griffie's eye-and the fourth day's program. Skimmed milk masquerades as cream at our Masquerade Ball. We import Russian Night. Everything from caviar to Bublitchka, including the Volga Boatmen and Shirley Janis' kazatzka. Dacks make the headlines in track and Senior baseball. Seniors make the Front Page at Wakonda. Teams begin to take on formations. Camp places too much stock in rumor. Stock company turns out to be Rondack's councillors at The'Trysting Place. Who wants our autographs? The house is divided against itself-in formation practice. Tom- toms escort us through tribal dances at campfire. Gag announcements reveal that Phoebe, Judy and Carol join the ranks of the Chosen Few. Rondack travels de luxe. I Wanna go where you go -and we choose our own trips like Wcmen of Destiny. In the evening we like Men of Destiny. In-formation, please! as Ron-Dack practice continues. We set sail in an evening of boating. Seniors remain ashore for Senior Night. Test week-points keep rising on test charts. Camp week-tempera- ture keeps rising on thermometer. We keep rising and dipping in long swim.

The little senior girls put curls in the middle of their foreheads for their first senior dance. It's not the humidity, it's the heat! Team campfire is held at the beach. It begins to look like climate, not weather. In the evening, we thrill to the senoras and seioritas, as they seeng and dance in ze gorgeous Spanish night. Dacks triumph both in first Senior basketball game 16-11 and in the first track-meet 32-23. We have all sorts of time-including a won- derful one-at the Junior's brilliant performance of Clock Shop. Rons meet victory in swim contest. Seniors meet boys at Cayuga. We're old soaks now as it rains again. Our braves and squaws talk tom-tom and turkey in tribal conferences. From the heights of Mt. Pharaoh to the depths of Ausable Chasm we see the world. In the evening we feel like the Million Dollar Baby. Dack Juniors pack a wallop in punchball victory. Seniors eat fcookieslj, drink Cpunchlj and are merry at Senior night. We beat the heat and cool off by degrees in a long, refreshing swim. Our first tribal campfire eclipses in beauty and effectiveness the eclipse of the moon. It rains, and by now we don't care. We take our chances in a merry Salamagundi Party. Teams break even. Dacks track down a victory. Ron Sub-seniors sub -clue Dacks in basketball, 14-4. Tribes meet and swimmers do likewise. Dack mermaids have a stroke of victory. Request performance of Spanish night. lt Will Be All Right on the Night is so much so that we collapse with laughter. Tribes offer prayers in campfire competition. We awake and re- hearse for All at Sea. Colorful trips by bus, canoe, motorboat and sturdy legs-to a colorful evening with rough-riding cowboys in Blue Steel. Dack Juniors net one victory in volleyball. Senior dance makes Seniors' hair curl! Around the campus in a full day of activities. We begin to test our mettle. Ladies Must Dress -for operetta rehearsal in which camp catches flashes of gorgeous costumes and snatches of lively song. Picture that! and Shirley Frost wins the week's photo competition. All at Sea at last, a de luxe cruise in which Rondack's operetta stars triumphantly sail past all former triumphs. A high Dack day on land, a Dack day on the high seas-as they take both land and water meets. Seniors off again to inspect the scenery around Cayuga. Our braves tell tall stories in campfire legend competition. First Gag announcement as Mr. Chankin strings along three new precious pearls. lt's a good gag for Rona, Julia, and Connie.

Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug Aug. Aug. Aug Aug Aug Darkies descend on Rondack in melodious Negro Night. Light descends on Cayuga in the form of Rondack Seniors. Formation and re-formation as we still practice. Daddy Long Legs turns out to be Jean Field and the Investment in Judy yields great interest. Last point announces close of Test Week. Last formation practice heralds approach of Varsity Week. Seniors off at last to Schroon Lake Camp, where they are completely Submerged. The light of a brilliant sun, a Dack Torch and a Ron Lantern shine upon Formations, as Varsity Week is formally opened. The Rons give a cheer as they score in formations, 59-41, in sub-Senior and Senior basketball, Dacks retrieve Freshie contests in clock golf and Croquet. The busy Bees have it as Gag announcements reveal the choice of Beverly Blickman, Lil Bader, Edythe Bleetstein, Lois Bliss. and Ruth Obler. Chickens come home to roast, and ice-cream surprise fails to leave us cold in Pine Grove feast. Dacks march victoriously around campus from Senior baseball, Inter basketball, sub-Senior and Inter archery singles to Senior tennis doubles. Rons salvage tennis singles. The Girl of My Dreams jumps one hurdle after another. Sweet Music as we Sing practice. Dacks net Senior tennis singles and doubles triumphs, as well as Senior archery singles. Ron sub-Seniors take archery doubles, In the evening a cloud-burst, and campus resembles Great Lakes. Felice's pillows keep slipping and Our Gang has a hilarious time at Movie Ball. Ron baseball lnters and Senior archers win. Dack sub-Seniors go and do likewise in baseball. Life is a Song just before Team Sing. More practice. Dack Juniors put punch in triumphant punchball game. Varsity track meet, full of events, is an eventful Dack victory. We make sacrifices at final tribe campfire, where 'Tm going to sit down and write myself a letter. We meet for the last time. Rons take Varsity boating. Varsity swimming to Dacks. The Nineties in a lively performance, turn out to be very Gay, There's many a slip -but in close game with Estelle VJiecler, Jeanne Tannenbaum wins the Tennis Cup. Team Sing ends in a Dack musical score:-1935 ends as a Dack season. The best of friends we'll be. Ron-Dack Reunion at campfire. Shake out your duffles as packing starts. We spend a snappy day with the photographer, in a race against rain, In the evening. anyway, we are Young and Beautiful. Team Party turns out to be a regular three-ring circus. Last call for Gag! Ruth. Leila, Muriel, Barbara, Doris, and Betty make the grade. Pack up your troubles, and your trunks, tool We gain consider! able weight at farewell banquet, and stay with our merry-making councillors From Beginning to End. The Old Lady Shows Her Medals, and the young ladies of Ron- dack receive theirs, as awards are made. What, already? Seems as if we just got here! Farewell, dear duffles and Rondack. We shall all meet again!
