June June July July July July July July July July July DAIJ Bu DAIJ THE LOG The calendar reads: Time to entrainf' The scent of pine trees hovers over Grand Central Station as we shake New York,s dust from our feet. Unpack all your trunks of clothes -and we bring order out of chaos, assisted by thumbtacks, movie heroes, and shoebags. The Whistles-and activities-begin. Our first campfire is indoors. Indian and impressive. Casserole makes its spinach debut. Hollywood's Little Men enter- tain Rondack's big and little women. Season's lirst upset upsets campers as councillors trounce the young uns in baseball. Yum! Yum! and he takes Uncle Sam and Rondack to a delicious Fourth of July candyland. The law of gravity disturbs Donna's pants and Donna's pants upset our gravity. The temperature soars to lOl. In the heat of our excitement We choose team leaders. Jeanne Tannenbaum is Dack's peach and dream. Bus Man Harriette Slote shoots 'em high and low. Frankie M. Wolfsie is the Ron Team's pride and joy and Carol Lewis is ever ready, ever true. We rate high at first services. Water, water everywhere as it rains all day, and We go swimming. Try letting a smile be your umbrella as it continues to pour! Oh, Chief, We learn our tribal destinies. Thank You, Doctor for an amusing evening. Campfire postponed. We no longer see the Point, as it lies under water. Tribes how-how in pow-wows. We trip hither and yon in Hrst excursions of the season. We return to find Clyde Beatty in the Lost Jungle.
