Canoe Trip Hiiiith a hop, skip, and jump, the camera takes us right to the middle of Schroon Lake! I.et's hurry and catch up with those green canoes ahead. I-low rapidly they glide through the sun-fleckecl water! Can it he that the paddlers are inspired by the thoaght of sizzling steaks and toothsome corn? And the tomatoes! lt's now evident that even Ruth Landesman's elliorts to grill them cannot improve their spicculence. Shall we lounge around in the sunlight with some of these more indolent campers, or dash over to NYatson's ice-cream emporium? lkell, lct's l- see them shove od' anyway, as merry and sun-tanned a group of girls as this camera has seen. Lerreif N ' W What is that bus just ahead of us? Why, look who's there! Ron- dack's very youngest oil for a sur- prise trip! Hm, they seem to know all about it. just listen to Syrille Litt. I know what the Letter N is! lt's made of trees, isn't it, Greenie? Let's follow them. , , This is beautiful country, the perfect spot for a picnic lunch and a game of Indians, and look at those fifty million daisies and black-eyed susans! Sydel has an arrnful already! Some of that tall fragrant grass is almost as high as Harriett Farber! Vifhat if that surprise they keep talking about on the way hack to the bus? VVell, well, there it is. Two tables spread with delicious ice- cream and cookies. .frzmragar just look at all the Hags, folks! Wonder what convention is being held here? Let's eat lunch with Rondack and find out. Well, if Phyllis must try that mineral water, she must. Boy, oh, boy, let's get a close-up of that face shels making! Those girls will have to hurry if they want to get sodas, cheese, crackers and magazines. !'Shirley, Frankie, Lucille and Beulah seem to be having great fun taking pictures. Let's get a few good shots of the group. Well, they are , hurrying back fast. Oho, it's a ques- tion of getting a good seat in the bus! lVhat is Lucille saying? 'W'asn,t it swell being in Saratoga with the Spanish-American Wvar Veterans? I hope they had as good a time as we did'f' ' 46

I I 'I ...icfl-ssafxiwalli -cw in V' I' a Howdy, friends. This is the traveling cameraman, bringing you another film in the Rondack Studio's Educational Travel Series. This one is called 'Tues- day Travels with Rondack Rovers' Come along with us to the famous Adirondack country. See authentic shots of beautiful native campgirls. See scenes never before released of original Rondack tribal journeys by canoe, motorboat, bus. sflzzmble Clomm ' T Here we are, folks, just rolling into the town of Ausable with a busload of eager and excited girls. Come along with them through one of nature's loveliest phenomena, Ausable Chasm, down an apparently endless spiral of steps, with Eleanor Linder and Edna Kadin counting them aloud. There's Lenore insisting the gorge is full of hot water! XVatch the girls register- ing awe as they pass those startling rock formations, Elephant's Head, Devil's Punch Bowl, the Mystic Gorge. Ah, they're leaving autographs at the unique Rock PostrOffice. Step carefully into the boat, Claire. Now, through the Rapids, and oh! aren't they in a hurry to get back to the simpler forms of nature like ice cream cones and sundaes! CWD. Tlaamzob You'll have to excuse us, friends, if the camera and I are a bit puffy, but Rondaclffs hardy mountain- eers are chasing up Mt. Pharaoh at top speed! Well, will you look at Ruth Altschul wrapped up in Izzyfs gloves! It if cold up here at the top, at that. You're right, Carol. This gorgeous view cannot be enjoyed on an empty stomach. On with the eats, and for dessert, hand-picked blueberries provided by old Pharaoh him- self. Wloe for my rheumatism, for they're going down in complete accord with the law of gravity. At last- the bottom! And whom do we see but Betty, Nanny, Carol and Connie, all sure they're lost. April fool! the car is just around the bend!', 45
