14 p Camp Na-wakwq Notes on the Observers , Every vear at Camp Nawakwa there. is a certainispecies set apart, Fegafded with appropriate dignity, and treated.1.n,a man- ner befitting their exalted position-jthey are the Observers These are individ- uals, usually sent by a certain Sy1lOd1C31 group, who come to observe how Camp Nawakwa is operated, so that they might go back to their homes and promote the establishment of summer youth camps there. While I was joking when I.SD0kC of theirbeing regarded with dignity CI know some of them would protest thatj. I am not joking when I say that this summer we had an unusually large and unusually fine group of observers at Camp Nawakwa. Those of us who are there an entire season always count it one of the outstanding privileges of camp to--meet and learn to know these men and women from various parts of the nation. Besides those sent on synodical scholarships, we also had three missionaries of the ULCA and three visitors from foreign countries. Come to Nawakwa and make new friends would certainly be a truthful ad- vertisement of the camp. Anyway, ye olde editor managed to acqui're quite a bit of information about these guests which I thought you might enjoy knowing too.
