Just what we needed. Thanks, Labor Day. 9. Carole and Diane are named co-editors of the Pup's 'I-Q2 and Bob and Jim are elected co-captains of the football team and it's Rachelle's birthday. What a big day this is! 11. What a way to start off a great season! Cheer up, Havelock! 14. Down, you lowly Freshman! Didn't anyone ever tell you that you don't wear skirts upside down? What do you mean you don't have any more gum, WORM!! ! 21. Thanks for our new bridge on Senior property. We love you, Mr. Willis. OCTOBER 9. Rain can't spoil our Homecoming Queen or victory. Jeanne made a love- ly ruler. Happy Homecoming, Devilpups! 13. But school just began. We can't have exams already! Oh, we are, Mr. Durr? 14. Poor Jim Padden. Too bad he blocked Allan so well. Now he has a broken collar bone. Jim, that was supposed to be practice! 16. Wanna buy a Magazine? ?? New York or bust! Poor Vicky and her add- ing machine problems. Add two and subtract six makes three. 20. Thanks for the holiday, teachers, but no thanks for those P.S.A.T. tests. 21. Wonder why the buses aren't crowded today? Oh, I forgot. We receiv- ed our first report cards today so no one's going home. 30. Did you write your letter to the Great Pumpkin ? 31. The trophy was well deserved, boys. You did a great job of winning the Quantico game. NOVEMBER 1. Please, mister! You've just got to buy an ad for our yearbook. You've just got to! 6. What't the good word? Beat Dixon! ! Happy Thanksgiving. Cranberries, anyone? No? I thought I'd ask any- way. 30. How did you like your surprise party, Sandy? Kalua and all that sort of stuff. DECEMBER 1. How about a turkey sandwich, fellows? Ugh. 7. Must you insist upon giving number grades? How about an E instead of a 14? 8. Nervous, Skip? After all, an Honor Society Tapping isn't an everyday occurrence. ll. Come on, kids. Vote for your king and queen and send the Seniors to New York. 16. Come one, come all to our annual Christmas Glee Club Concert and don't forget to buy a cake from the Seniors. 18. Dyamie and Mike made a cute Snow Queen and King to reign over the nice Christmas Dance given by the Sophomores. 25. Merry Christmas to all! 28. Happy Birthday, Vicky, red shoes and all! 31. Happy New Year! Brace yourselves, girls, it's one minute to midnight! JANUARY 1. What? You've broken your New Year's resolution already? But it's only the first day in the new year. SCHOCL CALE A 4. Happy days are here again as school starts again. OOH, quiet! 11. Our basketball season isn't doing so well, but at least our cheers are improving. We've got the coach, clap, clap. 15. The Seniors still need more money to go to the Big City. 10. Juniors seem to be nervous and working hard. Mayhap we will have a Prom? Seems a certain rumor. i 15. Sent in your income tax yet?? Why not?? Oh, no one would hire you and you made no money. 18. Thank heavens it's Friday. What, another Junior Class meeting?? There goes the whole weekend. 20. Seniors practice for the Senior Play. You'd never guess who is the biggest ham. 21. Happy Birthday, Dottie. 28. Honor Society Tapping soon. How are your grades? APRIL 1. We're going to have only five classes a day and an hour for lunch? Aren't you lucky??? It's Field Day, too. 14. Honor Day. You better collect them now, because exams are on their way. Study hard, Seniors, this is your last chance. 25-27. Had I only made A's, I could have been out of these miserable exams. 29. Time is getting short. Baccalaureate Service is here. JUNE 1. Vicky's joke for the beach party. You will never starve at the beach, be- cause you can always munch on the sand which is there. Wonder why Vicky is the only one laughing. 'Cause nobody has a sense of humor like mine, that's why! ! 3. Graduation Day is here and we have twelve long years of memories be- hind us and a big challenge ahead of us. 13.
