Mrs. Vera Rogers Iune 3, l965 cfo Lt. Colonel I. Rogers Little America Colony, Alaska Dear Vera: I received your letter and was very happy to hear that you and the twins are getting along fine in spite of the cold weather Bob Lyon a preacher of all things. I always It doesn't seem like ten years since we made the class prophesy, but I do think it is a good idea J . to exchange notes on the present positions v of our graduate class. ' ff' I could hardly believe my ears when you said .- ' 5, that Stinkie, Paul Schnell, was now head of the X C f FBI. Who would have believed it back in high f RA , I school when he was always getting into so Q 'E' ,fe much trouble? I J' .f pictured him as a stock car racer, a jet pilot or some- Q93 thing like that-but never a preacher It was a stroke of good luck when you ran into Mickey on her way to Alaska. I'll bet you were surprised. I can't imagine her and her four little sailors accompanying her husband on long ocean voyages. It must be a thrilling experience for her. I met Ronnie when I went to visit the folks in New York for a weekend. She is doing quite well, I'd say, by the looks of her '65 Cadillac and penthouse apartment. Yes, she asked me up to tea, and I learned a lot about a few other members of our class. Lillian Cohen is in New York working as a Power's model. Ron said that Lil turned down a contract with M.G.M., just because they wouldn't star her with Howard tWallerJ Curtis, the famous star of stage and screen. And Barbara Hays, you'll never believe it, she is the President's own secre- tary at the White House. Iim Yates married Pat Hancock, and they are now living in Morehead City. They have three boys and are expecting another in October. They visit us quite often. lim told me that Mark Allen is a disc jockey at Morehead City. You can turn on his program anytime during the day and hear Ruth Loper, the red headed hill-billy rage of the nation and her latest hit, The Iohnny Now Boogie. That boy spins the bop from dawn to dusk. Iim received a letter from Iohn O'Brien not too long ago. It seems that Iohn is now a successful Nuclear Engineer in Philadelphia. I I'm glad you asked about Sada Cox. I haven't heard from her since gradua- tion, but I did read an article about a year ago in LIFE where she has been do- ing some wonderful work as a missionary nurse in Iapan. Herb Hawkins and Bruce Burnette are right here in Leieune with us. Herb is a Naval dentist here. I went to the dispensary last Monday to get a tooth pulled, and who did I see sitting in the dentist's chair, but lst. Lt. Burnette. He is coach of the Devil Dogs now. He lost another tooth when he got hit by a football while coaching. All you have to do is turn on your TV to know what Mark Raney is doing. Ever since he started running for Congress this year, he has been filibustering on all TV stations. I think that answers most of your questions, and just about covers our grad- uate class of '55. I will have to close for now and feed the kids. Our little trailer is slightly overcrowded now, and Bob is off on another cruise. I am expecting him home around the first of the year. Sincerely, ANITA NINE, Class Prophetess
