It is a responsibility of the school district to select teachers, to provide for the fi- nancing of the school program, and to evaluate periodically the outcomes of the education pro- gram. Camp Hill was incorporated as a borough on September 15, 1885. The original high school building was constructed in 1907 on the present site. Additions to this building were made in 1915, 1920, and 1938. A new building was erected in 1952 on the same site, retaining the 1938 addition. ln 1956 further additions were made and plans are now in progress for an addition to be completed in 1959. Camp Hill High School offers a large variety of courses. lt is one of the more progressive schools in central Pennsylvania. A great per- centage of its alumni has been successful in vari- ous professions and vocations. Our school's val- ue as an effective educational institution has been due to the cooperation of the Board of Edu- cation, administration, faculty, student body, and residents of the community.
