Lt. J. J. Hogan III, USN Executive Officer .Lieutenant James J. Hogan III, United States Navy, son of the late Mrs. James J. Hogan, was born on6 October 194O in Manchester, New Hampshire. Upon graduation from Manchester West High School in 1958, Lieutenant Hogan attended Columbian Prep School in Washington, D. C., and was appointed to the U. S. Naval Academy at Annopolis, Maryland where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1963anda commission in the U. S. Navy as Ensign. Lieutenant Hogan's firST duty station was on board the USS BAUSELL QDD-8451, where he served as Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer. ln December 1965 he was graduated from the U. S. Naval Destroyer School at Newport, Rhode lSlGnCl- Lieutenant Hogan reported to his present duty on board the USS CAMP QDER-2511 in January 1966 as WeaponS Officer. He assumed his present duties as Executive Officer in June 1967. Married to the former Maureen E. Hayward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrace Hayward of San Diego, California.
