FUN ' ADVENTURE ' RELAXATION ' COMPANIONSHIP HAPPINESS ' GROWTH ' HEALTH ADVENTURE is of prime importance, including all sorts of exciting experiences. RELAXATIQN must be included-sort of taking it easy, exploring a mountain brook with a close friend, reading a good book, or just a bit of plain and fancy day dreaming between times. RECREATION that is both stimulating and challenging-games, stunts, activities and fun. GUTDOORS spells magic to boys of every age. The woods, fields, streams, mountain meadows and trails, camp fires under the stars, a whole world to discover and explore. ANDERLUST is part of every boy's make-up. The love of striking out on new trails, finding a new camping spot, suddenly coming upon a magnificent view from the top of a ridge. HEALTH is all-important. Good food, rest and cleanliness, fresh air and sunshine, balanced and supervised activities make strong bodies capable of getting the most joy out of living, playing and camping. EXCITEMENT is a must for every boy. New thrilling experiences, day after day, adds to the zest of living. AFFECTION is as necessary to a boy as his food or the air he breathes. Any activity is more fun, more satisfying, when shared with an intimate companion, either fellow camper or friendly counselor. DIVERSION, which includes all sorts of experiences that are new and different. There are the old favorites, but boys always go for the unusual in the way of fun and adventure and excitement - ' These nine component parts may be woven into a wonderful pattern for a summer of joy and happiness and satisfaction. A Health There are a number of physicians and dentists in Hendersonville, and two Ortho- dontists in Asheville to whom campers are frequently taken for adjustment of braces. Hendersonville's new hospital iswithin easy reach. A graduate nurse is on duty at Arrow- head,s infirmary. This building is screened, adequately equipped, and includes nurses, and campers' quarters, big sun porch, first aid room, hot shower and flush toilets. Counselors check on campers, health habits dailyg also skin and general physical examinations, in- cluding weights, are made regularly, and reports sent home weekly. As a further safe- guard, a health certificate' is required of each camper and counselor to prevent importation of communicable disease. Arrowhead main- tains a Grade A rating by the State Board of Health. About Food: A Most Important Subject The preparation of the food is under the direction of a Competent dietitian, in a mod- ern and well equipped gas and electric kitchen. Fresh pasteurized milk is delivered daily. Camp Arrowhead's kitchen contains the most sanitary and modern fac111t1es for reingerahon preparatton and cooking of food, washing and sterihztng of dishes
