MARY BARBARA HOLES Barbara joined us in her junior year. Since then she has willingly cooperated with all class plans. For the junior-senior entertainment in 1944 it was Barbara who supplied the colces and fried chiclceng and she provided the cocoa tor Senior Ditch Day. Barbarays one of the smoothest dancers among us. Ever watch her at an activity cut- ting-up with Dale or Mary Lee? Another one of her attributes is her infectious laugh- terg it begins low and ends up with every- oness chiming in. A nice girl, cooperative spirit, unique laughter, who can top that? MARY CATHLEEN JACKSON From the tar away hills of La Mesa, Cathie joined us two years ago. The Eye- browu has a hanlcering tor horses, dancing. loaiing, and Saintsmen. Vvhen asked about her post-graduate plans, she replied: l Want to do is eat, sleep, ride my horse, play tennis, swim, and tall in loved, She will probably languish in college for a few moldy years before fufilling her great am- bitions. To listen to us, no one would guess Cathie the person of responsibility Weive found her. But her Academy record proves that besides her great longing for sports and the wide open spaces, Cathie has held office as Student Body Secretary, Publicity Com- mittee chairman tor the Sodality, Holiday Hustle chairman, and Academy Correspon- dent. Hjaclcson, The Calla Lilies Are in Bloomf, has spent two successful fun-paclv ed years with us, and will, we,re confident, cheer the halls that will receive her next September.

ANASTASIA GLAVAS Here is musical talent, intelligence, de- pendability, and humor combined with blond Greet: beauty in Anna of the class ot H-45.H She has been one ot the most zealous Academy boosters, and can claim at least one other senior,s presence at the Villa as the result ot her protuse praise for all at our Alma Mater. Need anything,-a poem for the Annual, a super saleswoman for the Bond Drive, a lift downtown? Just say it loudly enough so that Anna hears, and it is as good as done. Not one to Hblow her own horn,u Anna doesn't publicize her extra-curricular work, such as the hours spent in Greet: relief worlc, her helping hand for her father in his business all summer, her position ot organ master and director ot both choirs at Church. But we believe this is our oppor- tunity to render praise where it is due, and say, Orchids to you, Anna, for being one ot' our outstanding girls? SALLY ANN HAYES Versatile, vitality-filled Sal, our gal, has brightened the Villa during the past two years. Hailing from La Mesa, uthe wilder- nessf' Sally is an enthusiast ot the outdoors, baslcet-ball, eating, and the Sodality. Her two Academy years have been paclced with activity and prestige, having been elected junior class president tor her last quarter of our junior year and Sodality prefect lor H44U and M45.H An actress ot sorts ta carry over from AGrossmont Highl, we can usually tool: to her tor enlivenment ot the drama classes and the gym court. She has the ad- ded attraction ot a very eligible brother, a lieutenant in the Marine Corps, whose pres- ence at the prom she sold to the highest bid- der! Truly Sally has been a most amusing and likeable addition to the senior class, one weyll not soon forget.

JEAN JESSOP VVe'll introduce Jean as the queen ol sports and the science labs at the Villa. She has successfully combined physical and mental gymnastics in the years she has been with us. Few girls ever shine in more than one or two fields, but Jeannie seems to have a monopoly on brains, humor, and what it talces to malce good on the court. The Vvitn of the senior class, Jean can be depended upon to brighten any dull class moments, and has a lcnaclc for getting into Hhot watern unwittingly. She has been an off-and-om boarder malcing friends of both Sisters and girls. June will marlc the sChool's loss ol its best all,-around swell girls, Jean Jessop. LORRAINE THERESA JONES Ulf you need anything, just whistle for Lorraine. She has participated in class de- bates and in the production of various senior activities. Lorraine worlcs on the Literature Committee. The Glee Club also claims her as a member. She can be seen in early morning and late afternoon bumping along with Dzajic in their little Hblaclc bug.H Her extra-curricular interests include a certain Saintman and his car, and occos- ional hours at the telephone company say- ing, HNumber pullezef'
