us quite humble and attentive to the desires ol the honorable seniors. We elected our class officers and were otlicial members of the Student Body. We spent three days of inspiring retreat under the instruction of Father Hurd and became members of the Sodality. We found our recrea- tion and activities in the G.A.A. organization, and displayed our abili- ties on Field Day. On graduation day we gave the departing seniors a breakfast. A i With a joyous and ambitious spirit, we entered our sophomore year, to discover that our hours of leisure were shortened by an increase ol homework. Under the careful supervision of our well loved faculty, we struggled through the year successfully. ln our junior year we greeted many new acquaintances to our class. It was an exciting and prosperous year. We enjoyed Tag Day, which originated in that year. Thrilling was the day when we received our class pins. We treated the seniors to a picnic at La Jolla and they in turn gave us a lovely prom which we will always remember. Finally We realized that we were members of the class that had frightened us four years ago-seniors. We were happy to have Mother Rosemary for our class teacher. This year was clustered with activities. We gave a get-to-gether dance for St. Augustine's called the Holiday Hustle. Although the rain and wind proved a little hindrance, we spent an unusually pleasant ditch day in the mountains. The actresses of our class displayed their talents in our senior play entitled Quality Street. Excitement was in the air when our rings and sweaters arrived. Fol- lowing a memorable prom, our day of final departure lay before us. Although we may never be within its walls again, the atmosphere of Villa Montemar will always linger with us. We shall never forget its gardens, its beautiful chapel, and its understanding faculty.
