conferences each ot the three days and discussd such subjects as triendship-hoth with God and man-the religious state ot lite, and the application ot the command- ments in our everyday activities. Atter each conference we were lett with meditative thoughts, which each girl pondered over between conterences, stations. visits, and spir- itual readings. On those three days we wallced hand-in-hand with Christ, spolte to Him ttrom the depths ot our hearts, and consoled Him in His sorrow. We ended our retreat each a hetter person, a more thoughtful person, a person with a greater love tor the Holy Family. Making up the foundation and most important part ot the Sodality are the com- mittees. These total six in all: Qur Ladyys ttwo divisionslg Eucharistic: Apostolic: Literature: publicity: and Mental Prayer. Each committee has worlced long and hard. To give you a hird,s-eye view ot their worlc, we mention a lew ot the things they have accomplished. The Apostolic committee toolc over the taslc ot tilting hundreds ol' Christmas stoclcings tor the poor: raising money for Pagan hahies in China: sponsoring a drive tor rosaries tor the servicemeng and arranging all material used in Vocation month. Qur Ladyts committee contributed everything from starting a Triduum to Our Lady ot Fatima to selling Christmas cards, to Uputting overn the Family Daily Rosary. The Eucharistic committee upheld its name lay encouraging a tine turnout tor the Handmaids ot the Blessed Sacrament reception, and encouraging the Enthronement ot homes to the Sacred Heart and Night Adoration. The Literature committee worlced hard spreading devotion hy handling Catholic Press Month and lceeping Catholic liter- ature in circulation. The Mental prayer committee submitted an original mental prayer at each weelcly Sodality meeting. The Publicity committee put up all lcinds ot' signs, posters, and reminders tor the girls to see. These, then, are our ever-willing, ever-worlv ing committees, who deserve and justly receive recognition tor their ettorts. We were happy when Father Hurd came to the Academy to enthrono our school MASTERS RENDEZVOUS
