PROPI-IECY On May 31st 1958 I decnded to look up some old classmates Smce Rrchard Comer was so near by I decmded to go see hrm first Rrchard ns mamed and hvmg out near Rose Inn He also has five fine chxldren From there I went to see the mayor of Cameron who ns none other than Paul Phnlhps He s domg a fine job followmg rn h1s uncle s footsteps I needed a harrcut and shave so I asked a man where the best barber shop rn town was and he sand Iunlor Faxrcloths so I got my harr cut and shave from jumor and I must say he has a good buslness After my fnend Jumor got me shcked up I started to Sanford but just as I got to the Moore Central Razlroad I saw the tra1n commg so I walted and whom should I see but Mac Thomas as engmeer They tell me that Mac 15 the best engxneer the Moore Central ever had I went on to Sanford and decrded to go out to Sanford Hrgh School to see an old athlete of Cameron Hlgh james Lownmore who IS now coachmg the San ford Yellow jackets He told me they hadnt lost a game nn three years While xn Sanford we went by Chlldress Truckmg Concern to see Roy Cameron the best truck drlver ever employed by Chxldress Transportatlon Co Smce we were near Jonesboro Helghts we decrded to pay Mrs Howard Kelly the former Dons Thomas a vxslt We found her washlng diapers for her sxx months old baby girl Dons Kay Routh IS teachlng Spanxsh and English She hkes Vass Lakevnew better than any school m whlch she has ever taught Betty Iean told us that Polly Io was mar rled to Manuel Holder and has tw1ns She also saxd she had a letter from lose phmc Nlckens She rs smgmg IH the Stork Club ln New York and has never de clded to settla down to one man I had a letter from the former Annle Lee Hopkxns who ns now mamed to a preacher and she rs a missionary IH Chma She and her husband are planning to come home soon I saw Anna Matthews xn the new M C M release The Last Dance the other mght She IS now a famous ballet dancer I couldnt get around to see some of my old classmates so I found out where they were and what they re domg Norma Southem rs stxll smgle and workmg for the F B I ln Washmgton D C ,NancyTh0mas IS workmg at the Burlmgton Mnlls office in New York Clty She has earned the Mrs degree Elnora Holt is now a prlvate secretary to a dnsc jockey over NBC Audrey Marsh xs now mamed after domg secretarlal work for several years I myself am llVIIlg rn Cameron and runnrng a garage I am also a very proud father of four Ene chlldren JOHN M ACPHERSON -1.4 25 l-Jr , , . l . . , . .
