Until Dr. Stroup's arrival direct administrative leadership was given by Dr. J. Francis O'Malley, county superintendent of schools, anda former supervising principal ofArea schools. ln February, succeeding Mr. John Patterson as principal, Mr. James Man- ners took up his duties in the high school thus, in a year of almost total change, bringing to com- p etion the administrative staff .
