1 , sf' Foreword In the early 1950's, the apswing in school enrollment crowded North High to overflow- ing. To cope with this prohlem, in 1952 the Phoenix voters aitthorized the creation of a new high school. This new school was hailt specifically to accommodate students in the northeast section of town. On April 12, 1954, after attending North for seven months, freshmen and sophomores gathered with the new administration in the horseshoe for the first flag raising ceremony of Phoenix's newest high school. With this edition, Camelhach and the SHIELD ohserve another milestone of exist- ence. Many events have taken place and traditions have heen estahlished in the past decade. With this tenth issiie, we wish to show some of the highpoints of the past and present at oar alma mater. 1
