A. is to learn about the nature of teaching, its opportunities and responsibilities, and to create within the members the character and leadership es- sential in good teachers. Activities of this year's Future Teachers included field trips to grade schools, films pertaining to education, and listening to guest speakers at their meetings. CHESS CLUB gg This year's Chess Club officers are Randy Carter, President, David Benton, Vice-President, and Robin Gillett, Secretary- Treasurer. The purpose of Chess Club is to teach the game of chess and to promote its use as 0 popular game. Club meetings were devoted to teaching and playing chess. Members also challenged players from other schools.
