THB TIQSP SERVICE BALL Talk about fun and more fun we r ally have rt in Service Ball Everybody can play it It does not require a great deal of sk1ll and you can hit the ball Wlth your head knees fists or any other part of the body It can be returned on the first bounce and may be vxlleyed as many times as desired Th1S is a very popular game at our parties and picnics The entlre group can play at one tlme The big little old young fat lean s1ss1es school marms and everybody enJoys it We really l1ke It and It is a great factor rn the actlvltes of our school TABLE TENNIS Table Tennis IS rapidly becoming a popular sport 1n our school The stu dents enjoy playing table tenn1s durlng the free period at the noon hour at partles and before and after school Thls popular sport is not for developmg champions but IS to provide amusement and recreation for the students Our school has four sets of equlpment and we hope to get four more sets Thrs game has been a big factor IH developmg sportsmanship Some of the outstandrng players are S nlors James Crane Virginia Roach Melv1n Stoner J unrors Jack Morgan Sophomore Joe Roe Wayne Huddleston VOLLEY BALL Volley ball as played today IS an interesting game Our students enjoy playing rt very much It is very popular durlng the free period Volley ball is one of our major sports in thle Intramural program The school IS d1v1dcd are lncluded in the program The game 1S popular because many students can play It at the same time Some of the better players rn each class are Seniors James Crane Guy White Roscoe Laurle Donald Laurle Vlrgle Casey Hazel Long Virginia Roach Wanda Wrlllams Juniors Clinton Ruble Wallace Roofener Jack Morgan B111 Newton LOIS Newton Patr1c1a Heavlmer Sophomore Wayne Huddlesfon B111 Jones Gene Kam C1n1ta Stoner Margaret Cumper Bernadlne Helms Sylvia Finley Freshmen Harley White Marvin Long Tommy Edwards Glenn Bla1r Bobby Falrall Clifford Edwards B111 Brownfield Catherme Atke son Juamta Anthony Patrlcra Vlncent La Rue Laurle Al1ne Laurre Dolores Llbby Hazel Davls Bertha Roofener Ruth Myers Helen Anderson Je aldene Bunch Gracie Nalls Helen Taylor DARTS The old school keeps up the good work by providing more and better equrp ment for us each year We now have a dart board baseball game etc that we play Several sets of darts are available for the students and the most popular game is the baseball game Th1S IS played like regular baseball on a marked cork board field Darts are thrown and strike fouls home runs and hits all count ln the same manner as baseball Eighteen or twenty players may play at one tlme Anyone can play the game and it IS lots of fun Thanks to the good old school for thls great sport y S . . . u .
