THE Tllllll INTRAMURAL ATHLETICS A new and successful experlment ln Camdenton H1gh School th1s school year was a system of lntramural games for all of the students Th1s afforded everyone an opportunlty for fr1endly competltlon and healthful exerclse Teams were selected by numbeung to HVOld factxons of strong players all ln one team Junlor hlgh groups were d1v1ded 1nto ones two and threes and Semor hlgh ac cordmgly The groups were also separate lnto boys groups and glrls group Teams played alternately That 1S the boys played one week and the glrls played the next week Scores and team averages were kept from week to week and posted on the bullet1n board Schedules also were kept posted Scores were kept 1n three sports Although several experxmental basketball games were played and not recorded The sports scored were volleyball aerial tenms and servlce ball The threes were flrst ln the Senlor hlgh glrls group wlth 18 pomts The twos won second Wlth 16 pomts and the ones were last wlth 14 pomts Randolph worked wlth the ones Mr Krng wlth the twos and M1 Hale wlth the threes In the Junlor H1gh School the boys threes won wxth 16 pomts Ones and twos t1ed for second w1th 10 pomts each The glrls two s won wlthout a defeat 1n any game w1th 18 pomts The one s were second w1th 10 pomts and the threes last wlth 8 pomts Total team averages for both boys and glrls Jumor and Senlor H1gh find the two the wlnners wlth a team total of 64 pomts The threes were second wxth 58 pomts and the ones last wlth 46 po1nts Th1s lntramural schedule has been of great help 1n the field of student use of lelsure t1me as well as offermg sportsmanshlp tralnxng and phys1c1al develop ment Camdenton hlgh school edeavors at all tlmes to glve 1ts youngsters a vxell rounded complete program of mental and physlcal development fac1l1t1es Sponsors of these groups guided them and supervised play each day.
