NINA RUSSELL • DEDICATION • We, the Senior Class of Nineteen Hun- dred and Sixty-Five, take great pleasure in dedicating our annual, the Excalibur, to you, Mrs. Russell. For the years you have been with the school we all know you as a kind and understanding person. In your daily ac- tivities you are a friend to many of the faculty members and mother and advisor to all the cadets that make their home here for the school year. We shall always hold you high in our 2 esteem. • FOREWORD • We look now with mixed emotions Upon the school year 1964-65. With excitement we visualize the unknown adventure of our adult future; yet, with sadness, we see the passing of this dynamic phase of our development. JAMES F. RISHER Colonel James F. Risher was born in Hampton County, S. C., and graduated from The Citadel in the class of 1911, In 1924 he went to Carlisle Military School to teach. In 1928 he was made Head- master and purchased the school in 1939. In 1958 he purchased Camden Military Academy, and now serves as president of both. The Cadets appreciate his influence on our lives, we are proud to be associated with this great man. COL. LANNING P. RISHER THE HEADMASTER Colonel Lanning P. Risher was born September 19, 1931, the son of our presi- dent, James F. Risher. He attended the public school of Bamberg, South Carolina, and Carlisle Military School. In 1955 he came out of the Army with the rank of First Lieutenant of the Infantry. He taught at Carlisle for three years prior to coming here as headmaster in 1958. For the past six years Col. Risher has put forth much effort to make Camden Mili- tary Academy a top rate school. We of the Excalibur staff salute you, Colonel Risher. 5 COMMANDANT OF CADETS LT. COL. JAMES T. DALLAS Colonel James T. Dallas was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is the in- structor of French I and French II. He received his A.B. Degree at the University of South Carolina and did Graduate work at the University dAix Marseilles, Aix-en- Provence, France. He came to Camden Military Academy in 1958. He has been an instructor for 7 years. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Colonel Dallas for his patience and understanding of our everyday problems.
