Q affvrz! 'an lt was just ten years ago that newly acquired treasures had us wending our way to someone who would be sure to share the pride that was ours. What a mad scramble we made for home sweet home with such things as a gold starred spelling paper, an arrowhead from the park, an honest to goodness Angora kitten, a split baseball bat, that first spring violet, the front tooth that was, and a host of things dear to the heart of all seven year olds. Each prompted a bit of front door oratory, a mad dash to her who always looked be- yond the material and saw with us treasures golden. Small wonder that such tokens found their way to Mother's hands. Now that all of seventeen summers have passed a new sense of values is ours, but the old idea of sharing remains. We have gathered together all the lovely memories dear to the heart of graduates and bound them in The i949 Cathedral Spire. lt all seems to call for a dedication to someone who is much a part of it all, to one who has looked beyond our many imperfections on more than one occasion, to one who has accepted efforts most feeble, to one whose ideals will always inspire that which is noble, good, and righteous, to one who has undying faith in the grace of God within us. To our beloved principal, Sister Mary, we lovingly dedicate this the last of the golden treasures of our high school days. AIX
