During the marching band sea- son the colorguard plays an important role in the parades and half-time shows. This year, under the leadership of color- guard co-captains, Connie Sekel and Debbie Marsh, the color- guard has not only improved in its marching skills, but has also added new ideas and techniques to their routines. Recently, a new banner was added to the col- orguard's array of flags and equipment. This year for the first time, the senior colorguard members performed a self-cre- f ated flag routine for the concert. In addition, the colorguard spends many long hours preparing for parades and football shows. A special recognition must be given to the colorguard for the splendor they add to the march- ing band unit. FIRST ROW: Jane Baer, Lori Zilhaver, and Connie Sekcl. Ron Mickle, and Ken Peterson T ' ' Mr. Welker M Sadie Volleybald l A FIRST ROW: Kathy Shaffer, Mary Tautin, and Donna Uhlman. SECOND ROW: Kim Ferris, Debby Leschak, Tena Daniels, and Julie Schmidt. This past year, the C.S.I-l.S. Girls' Volleyball team, under the direction of Mrs. Nicolls and student teachers, Miss Clawson and Miss Andryka, had a disappointing record of O-7. In spite of this record, the girls improved their skills very much and worked hard all season. Although all of the players worked hard, only two of them claimed special honors. Cindy Troyer was the team's Most Valuable Player earning this by merit of her overwhelming serves and spikes. The other player was Kathy Shaf- fer. Kathy was the team's hustler throughout the season, thus earning the Most Hustle Award. The team was managed by Lisa Leonhart. Q -new 'Qt we-' WQQQ ! PFQ . TO RIGHT: Kim Ferris, Debby Leschak, Donna Uhlman, Mary Tautin, and Julie Schmidt. Mrs. Nicolls, Advisor HO a l x Q Oeew QM' Bill Sherman, Kim Mitchell, Randy Lewis, Bill Flynn, and Alan Brown. fiml The camera crew under the supervision of Mr. Lindenmoyer plays an important part in the functioning of our school's television sys- tem. This year, the camera crew has been a great asset to our coaching staff. The crew is responsible for filming all home wrestling matches, football and basketball games. Later the crew plays these tapes back for the benefit of the coaches and their teams. In addition, the crew records educational television pro- grams to aid the teachers and sets up audio equipment for pep rallies and assemblies. The crew should be commended for all the work they do to benefit the school. Eabifofis Note Y X W, A 'tm' awwmcgmz-wwormagvwmvua.
