We the people that compose the class of 1989 are just like our country, diverse. Our class as representatives from nearly every country and race, and it is this diversity that helps stimulate us to become high achievers at whatever we do. To honor this diversity, we name our yearbook ‘KALEIDOSCOPE.’’ A kaleidoscope, through a scattering of colored glass, transforms the energy of light into many beautiful, symmetrical patterns. So it is, that the energy of the staff and students at C.R.L.S. transformed the dissonance of contrasting programs, interests, cultures, and race into ever changing but consistently harmonious configurations. The vibrancy and energy of the C.R.L.S. community is not only seen in its exceptional academic performance but is also visible in every corner of the school. Whether it is people socializing between classes in the halls, or carefully planning the senior trip in the student service center, the people of C.R.L.S. have always managed to achieve their goals, while at the same time enjoying themselves. Through a healthy interest in learning, a flair for resourcefulness, and a knack for having fun, the students and staff at C.R.L.S. have successfully reached a happy medium between work and play. We now present to you the class of 1989, the living kaleidoscope.
