The Causes Fall. Senior Year: There are classes to be passed, exams to be taken and choices to be pondered. For some the decisions focus around colleges, while others consider possible careers. The ex- citement of being Seniors (!) somehow gets swallowed up in the overwhelming amount of work during this season. The Class Trip, Prom and (gasp!) Graduation are mere specks of light at the end of the tunnel. Itis during this time thatthe unsuspect- = . ing seniors increase their susceptibility to Sof3 Pasir enioving the first term of the all-consuming Senioritis . . . Inku Kahn soaking up knowledge .. . senioritis (Sse-nyer-i-tus)n. — A state of mind in which the affected suffers from chronic laziness, intermit- tent partying and severe relaxation, (often accompa- nied by persistent guilt). It is found only in high school stu- dents who are over-worked, over-anxious and over the edge. Senioritis is caused by three years of high school.

Mid-senior year arrives and a strange thing starts happening to the victims of Senioritis: they begin to laugh, smile, and dare we say it — have a good time. For those suffering from this disease, the best advice is to wait and let Senioritis run its course. It is advisable to get plenty of rest (on weekdays) and take at least two parties a week. Try not to alienate parents, teachers and underclassmen — remember, they still live in the real world into which you will some day re-enter...
