Members of the Black Student Union, the History department, and the Teaching Staff presented two programs to celebrate the first national holiday of the birthday of slain Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin ‘Luther King Jr. Participants of the assembly spoke about the Maurice Page Lee Kimbrough MARTI UTHER KING JR. DAY Civil Rights Movement, past experiences, and taking the dream of Dr. King into the 21st century. On the following day guest speaker Charles Stith encouraged students to take pride in themselves and to achieve excellence in their future goals.
