Last week the CHS Student Council was represented at a meeting of all high school Stud- ent Councils in the southern counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. General Contractor of .Salisbury, the ground was broken last week and the construction started. The bti Iding will be attached to the back of the old gym. It will be 99 feet by 175 feet and will include new shower , a vo- cational tradesroom for indus- trial arts, und a new heating and electrical system. Although the gym floor will be one big court, there will be cross courts so the boys' and a whole court. There will be six bankets, two on each end of the gym. Each cross court will have two baskets. The stage which is included in the plans for the new unit will lx- larger than that in the pres- ent one. The lighting system for ;t will also differ from the one used now. Instead of footlights, ?h« re will he overhead colored lights about twenty feet or more off the stage. These will be over the audience but shining down toward the acting area.
