Typists Judy Tomlin and Brenda Langley busy Scott Miller, Ed Kinne, and Dan Mowry put up the stained glass window made by the members at work in Typing II class. of their art class. Ms. Holtze and Mr. Jorgensen instruct Suzanne Morgan, Brenda Palmer, and Ange Musil on using the computer the school bought this year. Several sophomores are shown painting a wall in the new addition to the school.

Students learn by doing Through vocational, home ec., and art classes, students learn by doing. The things they learn like sewing, typing, woodworking, will be valuable in their futures. Since computers are frequently being used in today’s business world, the school purchased one this year for the students to use. A stained glass window was made for the school by one of the art classes. Because of the construction being done on the school, ag and industrial arts classes were without a shop. One of their projects this year was to shingle a house the school had bought. Julie Palmer gets some sewing help on her shirt from Miss Wulf. Senior Ind. Arts member Kevin Jones gets ready to launch his rocket. Kay Joseph doesn't seem to be able to get her accounting to balance. Candy Joseph works on her typing packet. Kathy Frandsen and Kay Joseph cook up another meal in home economics. Art class members wonder what to do next. Ed Kinne and Kevin Jones watch as the rocket takes off. Speech and Drama have an active year The Speech class included a variety of activities such as informa- tive speeches, interpretation of poetry, duet acting, TV commercials, and TV variety show. The school participated in the District One-Acts. Cambridge did “Adaptation” and received a “I” rating and was the top school among 14 participating. Bruce Knight was awarded the best actor award at district competition. Other cast members were: Judy Tomlin, Brenda Knight, Angela Musil, Todd John- son, Jill Davis, Alan Nelson, David Minnick, Paul Lockenour, Nancy Peterson, and Sue Hayes. This was the first time in over 20 years that Cambridge competed in District One-Acts. They went on to state and received a “II” rating. The people who participated in district speech were: Rod Fiene, Louise Koerperich, Angela Musil, Tom Patterson, Kenny Fries, Alan Nelson, and Jimmy Fletcher. Alan Nelson and Bruce Knight received a “I” rating but were not able to compete in state. Brenda Knight also received a “I” rating in informative speaking and received a “II” at state.
