Trojans great in ’78 The Trojans had a fine year, improving their game more than double. The Trojans won all their regularly scheduled games and moved into the playoffs with an 8-0 record. The first playoff game played at home was with Polk, and proved to be a successful game. The second game took the Trojans to O'Neil where they played Spencer. The biggest game for the players was against Walthill. The game was played at home. Despite the loss and the cold weather, they all played a fine game. The Trojans completed the season by being No. 2 in the state. The B-Team finished again with another undefeated season with a 4-0 record. Mike Petersen runs into traffic on his fourth quarter run against Benkelman. Cambridge had eight players who were congratulated this year: Chuck Highland. All - State and Honorable Mention; Tim Petersen. All - State and All - Conference; Mark Witte. All - State and Honorable Mention: Doug Raburn. All - State and All - Conference: Dan Mowry.
