Faculty helps students strive for success Kurtis Bowden Superintendent Kurtis Bowden has been the superintendent at Cambridge Public Schools for the past ten years. His teaching and administrative career began in 1938 at Dunning, Nebr. He graduated from Arthur County High School in 1931 and then went on to Kearney State College where he majored in business and math. He received his Bachelor of Science at Kearney before going to Colorado State University where he received his Masters in School Administration. Mr. Bowden’s career in school administration has included positions in the following Nebraska schools: 1938-44 Dunning, 1944-46 Taylor, 1946-51 Stapleton, 1951-55 Edgar, 1955-66 Sutherland, 1966-68 Atkinson, 1968-78 Cambridge. His plans are indefinite following his retirement in May. He does plan to spend his leisure time hunting, fishing, and playing golf. 22 Doris Phelps Secretary
