Have you learn'd lessons only of those who admire you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you? Have you not learn’d great lessons from those who reject you, and brace themselves against you? Or who treat you with con- tempt, or dispute the passage with you? They realize the importance of recognizing the mistakes of previous decades and keeping these mistakes from being repeated. To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to- morrow, creeps in thi kpetty pace from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded time; and all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out, out brief candle! Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Jocatio na [ Jgricu It ure and industria ( Arts Vocational Agriculture is offered to students as an elective for the four years of high school. The course work is designed around material that will be helpful to the agriculture worker of tomorrow. Upon completion of the program a student may enter into an agriculture profession or go on for more technical training in his specific field. Students of vocational agriculture may participate in the organization FFA, designed to provide added information and ex- periences to help them in their chosen career. 10 The Industrial Arts program has studies in the following areas: Carpentry, Technical drawing. Architectural drawing, Electricity, Plastics and Woodworking. The classes are a foundation for an oc cupational trade interest. Below is Mr. Steinbrink, the Industrial Arts in- structor. Foods, Clothing, Consumer Buying, Family Living, and a number of special areas of cooperatively planned work are their year's courses as well as the things that should be covered in each individual unit. The program can be very flexible to meet individual classes wants and needs. Sheryl is refinishing a chest for her Home Ec. Project. The Business Department became a Vocational Program this year with the addition of General Business and a two hour block in Office Practice. Students can now take Business Classes each year for personal use or to prepare them for a business career. The Office Practice block provides ex- perience in a variety of skills that will be needed in offices. This year it also included an intensive office lab and on the job training. Miss Holtze is listening to Harriet's bookkeep- ing question. -Art P.€. Both the Junior and Senior Art classes completed approximately two dozen projects this year; such as, batek, stitchery, and painting. This year's Physical Education program for Freshmen Sophomores consisted of two girls’ P.E. classes and one for boys not competing in sports. 13 M Schroeder. P. Klocke. R. Schlegel. S. Johnson. S.
