CLASS HISTORY Dear Charlie, Hey Charlie! You little dear Heart and all that good stuff! I got somethin' real excruciating to tell you. In this little ole letter, I'm going to give you my history report for ole Miss Magreggor. From the looks a things you need a little learnin'. First off, I’ll give you the location. Cambridge, Nebraska--a little town nestled deep in the heart of Nebraska. Where's Cambridge, you ask? Close to Holbrook or Arapahoe? Maybe close to Bartley or Mc- Cook? It’s hard to say. The setting is Cambridge grade school about thirteen years ago. The room is Kindergarten and the teacher is Miss Druse. Thirty-two students were divided into two sections. The mem- bers of the class were: Alan Thorndike, Dave Avery, Deanna Thompson, Johnnie Beardmore, Mary Lynn Walkington, Betty Jo Molloy, Rod Walter, Dennis Williams, Sue Hecox, John Foster, Dick Shoemaker, Steve Wilson, Chuck Williams, Jim White, Don Trosper, Linda McHale, Sinda Stroh, Eunice Johnson, Dale Rauch, Vicky Wendland, Corky Burton, Carol Rogers, Joy Teter, George Clevenger, Janet Dixson, Wanda Allen, Marilyn Minnick, Dennis Decker, Marcia Klinkebiel, Rheta Langley, Carol Tolin, and Donna Pear- son. Ya know somethin' Charlie? These kids had it good. The only requirements they had were to learn to tie their shoes, learn their phone number, and learn to print their name. They even got to sleep with a teddy bear. Between Kindergarten and First Grade they lost Steve Wilson, Linda McHale, Linda Stroh, Chuck Wil- liams, Vicky Wendland, Corky Burton, Marcia Klinkebiel, and Carol Tolin, but they gained Darla Phillips, Doug Mclntire, Roger Johnson, Pam Hays, and Kenneth Steel. In the first grade they were met by Mrs. Arnold, who got out the little cardboard clocks and they worked on time. They gained Janet Petersen and at the end of this year they lost Alan Thorndike. For the beginning of the second grade they gained Mike Chamness, Jackie Barson, Fred Knehans, Rex Kicher, and Tim McCarthy: and Mrs. Moseley greeted them. Ya know Charlie, they sure did have fun makin' hand prints in plaster of paris. With flutephones in hand, they marched to greet Mrs. McLane and the Happy Hollisters. Two students, Diane Witte and Gary Metzger, joined them. Jim White, Carol Rogers, Roger Johnson, Darla Phillips, Jackie Larson, Tim McCarthy, and Doug Mclntire were the culprits who disappeared from the scene of the crime that year. They entered Mrs. McReynolds' class only to find division and all those long, hairy problems. They had the additions of Larry Frandson and Jachie Burton and lost Rex Kircher and Johnnie Beardmore. Mrs. Bose, the unfortunate soul, had them for a year. Between their play Hans and Gretel and begin- ning band, everyone needed a rest. Teresa Tice dropped in on their happy group that year while Jackie Burton departed. In the sixth grade, Mrs. Jackson was proud to have their smiling faces in her classroom. Or was she? They welcomed Susan Pierce and Jim McCully. Then came Junior High, where Bob Farr, Carol Kirby, Charles Dillsaver, Mike Sayer, and Dick Buzzel appeared in class. Skip Steel left them. Mrs. Phelps and Mr. O'Brien had to put up with a lot that year. The eighth graders will not forget Mr. Bosch, especially when the erasers on the projector would begin to smoke. New faces were Bill Gregory, Velda Larrington and Jim Weese. Fred Knehans, Charles Dillsaver, Dick Buzzel, and George Clevenger left their class. In High School they met Bob Burke, Pat Banzhaf, Margie Burke, George Downey, Dick Witt, and Kathy Nickerson, and parted with Carol Kirby and Velda Larrington. Sandra Harris, Denny Wymore, and Bill Minnick came their Sophomore year and Teresa Tice left. Mike Chamness unfortunately left their Junior year; and Cindy Bruning came their Senior year. What kind a grade I'll get will probably be a big surprise, after all I'm just a sweet little innocent center fielder. Love, Lucy
