CLASS HISTORY Dear Mr. Johnson, As you know, Lyndon, I have been searching for the greatest class in a Great Society. I believe I have found it at last in Cambridge. Eighteen members of the class began their schooling in Cambridge and have contributed to its greatness since learning the Pledge of Allegiance in Kindergarten. These founding Foundlings were Ann Brooks, Jerry Brown, Kathleen Estes, Carla Hayen, Kathryn Hecox, Gail Kasson, Don Krauss, Russell Miracle, Glenda Moore, Larry Ommert, Cathy Powell, Wayne Sayer, Dick Stanton, Kathy Stewart, Mike Taylor, Gary tenBensel, Connie Trosper, and John Zabel. Jim Teter was enlisted into the corps in the first grade. Then Sharon Amann emigrated to Cambridge in the second grade. Refugees into the fourth grade class were Melanie Chamness, David Jackson, and Benny Paisley. Virginia Rupe was the next to take the oath of Allegiance when she joined the fifth grade class. Dean Witte came in the sixth grade. Margaret Allen and Gloria Parker infiltrated the seventh grade class as the great group passed through Junior High. In High School the freshmen, destined for greatness in 1966, gained Wilma Farr and Bob Hageman. As Sophomores Connie and Ronnie Dewey came, insuring the greatness of the class beyond a doubt. When they were juniors, newcomers came from near and far to be a part of their great class. Barbara Mollring came from Holbrook and Pam Laverack came from New York. John Urling and Barbara Besler knew a good thing when they saw it and added their talents their senior year. And that is the story, Lyndon, of the greatest class in our Great Society.
