Student Council The objectives of the student council of Cambridge High School are to develop student responsibility, initiative, leadership, and school pride, to promote the best co-operation between the student body and faculty, to promote worthy citizenship training, to provide a working model of a governmental unit under which students will live, and to provide a means for pupil expression. Members of the student council have a fairly high scholastic standing. There are three representatives, each from Junior and Senior classes, and two from Freshman and Sophomore classes. The President is always a Senior, Vice President is a Junior or Senior and Secretary and Treasurer can be from any of the other classes. They are elected for the whole year. The Superintendent sponsors the student council and anything passed is subject to his or the principal's veto. 24
