FRESHMAN CUSS The freshman class, composed of 15 members, participated in many school activities during the school year. Eight freshman girls were members of the pep club, four were members of the band, and seven participated in girls' glee and mixed chorus. Several boys went out for football, and basketball. Following were the officers selected by the class: First Semester, Pres. Robert Bassford, Vice-Pres.-Gary Kasson, Sec.-Janet Heilman, Treas.-Mary Kay Joseph, Student Council-Judy Shoff, Robert Bassford. Second Semester, Pres. Susan Walburn, Vice-Pres.-Mary Kay Joseph, Sec.-Gary Kasson, Treas.-Janet Heilman. A covered dish dinner, held at the high school during the second semester, was enjoyed by the freshmen, their guests and sponsors. Dancing and volleyball furnished the evening's entertainment. 22

SOPHOMORE CLASS The second year of high school started as the 32 members of the Sophomore class elected the following officers for the first semester: President, Karen Schroeder; Vice President, Kathy Beals; Secretary, Judy Harding; Treasurer. Walt Jones; Student Council member. John Johnson. The Second Semester officers were: President, Linda Avery; Vice President, Marvin Banzhaf; Secretary, Jimmy Brown; Treasurer, Eric Eisenhart; Student Council member, Norma Lamb. Twelve girls were members of Pep Club. Two, Judy Harding and Kathy Beals, were elected second team cheer- leaders. Eight boys went out for football and nine went out for basketball.
