Then we moved upstairs to the sixth grade where Miss Anderberry was our teacher. From there we made the big stepinto Junior High and into the seventh grade, where we added Wanda Carter, Marie Newcomb, and lost Loren Rogers. Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Dobbie were our teachers. Then we moved on to the eighth grade where we completed our final year in grade school, with.Mrs. Dobbie and Mrs. Phelps as our teachers. It was there we added Eldon Colson and Larry Jones. Sandra Stanton returned also. We finally arrived at our first year of high school, where we gained Ronald Banzhaf, Ann Easter, George Miller, Bonnie Phelps, and Loren Rogers. The highlights of the year were the freshman mixer and our first high school ban- quets. We traveled on to our sophomore year, where we added Steve Arnold. In our junior year we gave the play Quit Your Kidding, and had Carousel as our Junior-Senior Banquet theme. At last our final year of school arrived and we attended our last school events: The Senior Play, The Junior-Senior Banquet, and sneak day. 5 Kenneth Bible Band-1-2-3 Annual Staff-4 Student Council-1 Chorus-1-2 C Club-2-3-4 Footba 11-1-2-3-4 Basketball-2 Track-1-2-3-4 Music Contest-1-2- Class Officer-3 Bonnie Phelps Band-1-2-3-4 Annual Staff-4 Junior Class Play Chorus-1-2-3-4 Pep Club-1-2-3-4 Cheerleader-4 Homecoming Queen-4 Girls P. STUDENT COUNCIL The objectives of the Student Council of Cambridge High School are to develop student responsibility, initiative, leadership , and school pride; to promote the best of co-operation between the student body and the faculty, to pro- mote worthy citizenship training, to provide a working model of a governmental unit under which students will live, and to provide a means for pupil expression. Members of the student council, which are elected for one year, have a fairly high scholastic standing. There are three representatives, each from the Junior and Senior classes, and two each from the Freshman and Sophomore classes. The President of the student council is always a Senior, the Vice-President can be a Junior or Senior, and the Secretary-Treasurer can be from any of the classes. These officers are not changed at the semester but are elected for the whole year. The Superintendent sponsors the student council, and anything passed by the student council is subject to his or the Principal’s veto. 24 F.HJV. FRONT ROW: L. Avery, K. Taylor, C. Berres, M.
