Senior Class History In the year 1948 four of the Senior class members started their journey through the Cambridge schools. They included: Stan Druse, James Rdipath, Janet Johnson, Rolland Fichtner, and Ed Kester, who was with us only that year. Mrs. Poush traveled with us through the first year of our journey and then turned us over to Mrs. Heiselman for our second year. It was there that we added Carole Kubik and Donna Phillips. Mrs. Roberts was our teacher for the third year. We then went on to the fourth where we added Marilyn Beals, Norris Smith, Stanley Sexton, Jerry Sayer, and John Minnick, with Mrs. McReynolds as teacher for that year. We then moved on to the fifth grade where Sharon Brittain joined us and Mrs. Bose was our teacher. Now came the big step up into junior high and into the sixth grade where we picked up Roberta Wright. Mr. Stephenson, Miss Weakley, and Mr. Kempkis were our teachers. We moved on to the seventh grade where Ronnie Tomlin joined us. Our teachers for that year were Mr. Lines and Mrs. Kenneman. We came to our final yea in grade school where we added Marcia Musil. Our teachers were Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Dobbie. We finally arrived at our first year of high school. The main events were the mixer, which made us full-blooded high school students, and our very first high school football banquet. We gained Mike Simon, Ed Kester, Larry Burke, Barbara Sams, and Patty Burton. We traveled on to our sophomore year where we added to our number Arnold Johnson. In our big year, the junior year, we gave our play, To Blush Unseen , with Mr. Sawyer as our director. We gave Gay Paree as our Junior-Senior Banquet theme. At last we are in our final year, and it ap- pears that we have arrived too soon. Our class colors are orchid and silver and our flower is the orchid. Through the year we attended our last school events: our class play, You Can’t Take It With You , and the lovely banquet the juniors gave us (its theme was Carousel), sneak day , and all the preparations that go with graduation- the end of our cruise. We hope the future is as pleasant as the past. 5
