Champs has concluded another successful season finishing with an over-all 8-1 record. The lone defeat was a hard-fought 13- 12 loss at the hands of St. Cecelia. During the last four years the Trojans have been victorious in 32 games while losing 7 for a very fine record. In 53 the Trojans captured the State Class C honors and have finished ninth twice. The Trojans have figured three times in the R.V. L. Laurels, twice taking it outright. Most of the credit is given to the pep club for their fine support, to Coach Stephensonfor his fine coaching and the good old desire to win. The Trojans were unable to put together a streak of wins during the season and finished with a dismal season of six wins and eight losses. They were ousted in the first game of the R.V.L. Tournament by Elwood but caught fire and won three big games to win the district championship. The Trojans then lost a thriller to a hustling Arnold outfit in the reginal playoffs 47-49. The good showing at the district offset the poor season. 33 MANAGER: J. Dolph, FIRST ROW: K. Harsch, C. Simon, K. Hilton, E. Kester, E. Baker, R. Walter. SECOND ROW: Mr. Pope, R. Banzhaf, R. Tomlin, J. McLane, L. Shoff, J. Minnick, L. Kubik, Mr. Stephen son. The track prospects for the coming season look exceptionally bright. With eight lettermen back that made most of the points last season, the Trojans should win their share of meets. Backing the lettermen is some good potential that should become very useful before the season is over. At the time this book had gone to the publishing company, the Trojans had won class C honors at Kearney and Hastings and had copped top honors at the RVL meet and the Arapahoe Invitational. 34 Se tuy% “PCay V Karen Barbara Shorty Bonnie Gary Barbara George Janet Roger Sonnie PAISLEY MARKET FIDLER PLUMBING SHOFF BEAUTY SHOP LUTHER’S MARKET BUTLER MEMORIAL LIBRARY 621 PENN CAMBRIDGE NE 69022 CAMBRIDGE STATE BANK Cambridge, Nebraska FIRST NATIONAL BANK CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES Members of F.D.I.C.
