In the fall of 1954, thirty-five students returned to Cambridge High School as Sophomores. Officers for the first semester were: President, E. Kester; Vice-President, M. Beals; Secretary, M. Musil; Treasurer, C. Mousel; Student Council Representa- tive, E. Kester and A. Johnson. Mr. Stephenson was the class sponsor. Boys out for football were: S. Druse, R. Fitchner, L. Hiatt, E. Kester, J. Minnick, D. Sams, D. Teter, S. Sexton, M. Simon, N. Smith and R. Tomlin. Boys out for basketball were: R. Tomlin, D. Teter, M. Simon, J. Minnick, E. Kester and S. Druse. To aid the boys on to victory these girls joined Pep Club: S. Brittian, P. Burton, J. Johnson, B. King, M. Musil, D. Phillips, B. Sams, L. Vise, C. Waters, and R. Wright. Cheerleaders for second team were: M. Beals, C. Kubik, and A. Thompson. Band members were: M. Beals, P. Burton, C. Kubik, M. Musil, D. Phillips, B. Foster and J. Ridpath. Girls in glee were: M. Beals, S. Brittian, P. Burton, M. Deselms, J. Johnson, B. King, C. Kubit, M. Mus;J, D. Phillips, B. Sams, A. Thompson, L. Vise, C. Waters, and R. Wright. Boys in boys' chorus were: P. J. Ridpath, M. Johnson. M. Colson. J. Moore. R. Walters, C. Michals, E. Baker, D. Dixon, J. Stoddard. K. Johnson, J. Sable. Twenty-five juniors enrolled in school on August 30, 1954. They have only lost one, Hilda Kapchinsky. When the first class meeting was held, officers were elected. They are as follows; Joe Raburn-President; Larry Kubik-Vice-President• Lewis Shoff-Secretary and John McLane-Treasurer. Boys in football were; Eddie Baker, John Fidler, John McLane, Lewis Shoff, Kenneth Harsch, Roger Banzhaf, Gary Rowe, Larry Kubik, and Roland Walters. The girls in Pep Club were; Karen Johnson, Sharon Fattig, Sondra Johnson, Ruth Arnold, Jo Moore, Barbara Johnson, Carolyn Michals, Dixie Dixon and June Sable being a cheerleader. The class play Accidental Hero consisted of the whole class. The performance was held on the evening of December 3, 1954. The long awaited class rings arrived in the first week in December. The juniors started off their second semester by electing John McLane, President- Roger Banzhaf, Vice-President; Jo Moore, Secretary and Joe Raburn as Treasurer. The boys out for basketball were John McLane, Lewis Shoff, Larry Kubik, Roland Walters, Kenneth Harsch, and John Fidler. They had many good times but the Jr-Sr. prom was the high-light. The freshman class started out the year by electing the following class officers: Charles Simon, president; Paul Ellis, vice-president; George Miller, secretary; Ronnie Mouse1, treasurer; and Jerry Sayer, student council representative. The thirty-three members of our class were initated by the seniors in the fall. The class was well represented in chorus, band, F H.A. and F.F.A. Most of the girls were in Pep Club, and most of the boys were out for football, basketball, and track. Several parties were enjoyed during the year.
