we-' Annie will certainly take its place as one of the most popular musicals ever presented at CHS. Over 2 IOO people attended the record-breaking six performances, which were sold out prior to opening night. The cast was 55 strong. plus the I5 members of the pit band. that pulled together to delight the audiences with songs, laughter, dancing. and scenery that made CHS proud to call Annie their own. Some of the highlights were: the orphans singing Hard Knock Life , Annie singing Tomorrow Q the bums of Hooverville singing and dancing to We'd Like to Thank You, Herbert Hoover , Oliver Warbucks shaving his head and singing out NYC , Miss Hannigan. Rooster, and Lily singing and kicking to Easy Street , Ben Healy strutting out to Never Fully Dressed , FDR and his cabinet giving us a new deal: the servants dusting, singing, and jumping from the balcony: Grace Farrell who wanted cheese, the beautiful mansion with carpeted stairway. sleigh. Christmas tree, and falling snow, the three standing ovations.
