Great Books Club The Great Books Club appeals to all who like to read. Members of the club read as many books as possible from a list of two hundred great books compiled by Clifton Fadiman, well known author and columnist. The list contains titles which Mr. Fadiman believes all students should read before graduation from high school. Audio Visual Aides 3 The Audio-Visual Aides are a group of students who operate the special education equipment in the various classes. This equipment consists of film pro- jectors, film strip proiectors, opaque projector, slide proiector, tape recorder, record player, and the over- head proiector. Each member of the club is trained in the operation and maintenance of this equipment and his service is greatly appreciated by students and teachers. The advisor is Mr. Ronk. , l -44 Future Nurse Club The Future Nurses' Club is made up those girls who are considering the nursing profession as their lite work. The local club assists in many service projects. They care for the First Aid Room and are planning to work as candy-stripers in the hospital during summer vacation. To quality for this service a girl must have completed a four week first aid course. Among the interesting guest speakers who have attended their meetings have been representatives from Bethesda, Good Samaritan, and Guernsey Memorial hos- pitals. The girls were invited to tour Bethesda Hospital, a trip they enioyed very much. Officers ofthe club this year were: president, Barbara Thompson, vice president, Gala Saber, secretary, Mariorie Hill, treasurer, Rebecca Wharton, advisor, Miss Arnold. Student Librarians Library Award Pins were earned by twenty-tour students who served as library assistants during the school year. Checking out books, taking attendance, straightening the shelves, taping new books, and assisting students in the periodical room were some of the duties performed by these assistants.
