Future Teachers of America is an organization of students who plan to follow a teaching career. This group, with the guidance of Mrs. Doris Lloyd, has enioyed an interesting and worthwhile program this year. The regular monthly meetings have featured panel discussions and talks by elementary and sec- ondary teachers and college students who are work- ing in the field of education. The club also took a tour of the Ohio University campus which gave members a brief glimpse of college life. The club sponsors a book scholarship which is awarded to a senior member for the purchase of college textbooks. ln the spring most of the members spend one or two days in one of our elementary buildings ob- serving and assisting the teachers with their daily program.
