The Key Club, an international organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, is composed ot out- standing boys from the sophomore, iunior, and Key senior classes. Developing initiative and leadership in the members is the main obiective ofthe club. This year the members participated in many ' Wi service projects. They helped the Kiwanians with their annual peanut sale, and the pet show at the County Fair, painted the trash barrels which are placed around the school, and donated magazines to the State Hospital. On March twenty-second, the annual Key Club Career Day was held. Students were given an op- portunity to consult representatives of various voca- tions and to learn more about those in which they were interested. Paul Scott brought honor to the local club by being chosen District Secretary of Ohio Key Clubs. Mr. Charles Schaub is the faculty advisor for the club and Mr. Robert Tingle the Kiwanis advisor. The Spartan Hi-Y is composed of iunior and senior boys and, since its organization in 1960, has been one of the most active school groups. Their many activities this year included spon- soring the Thanksgiving chapel and the Induction Service, in which they ioined with the two other Hi-Y clubs. As money making proiects this year, they held a slave auction, and sold sweat shirts with Hi-Y imprinted on them to members. For the second year the club sponsored two boys to attend Youth in Government in Columbus. Officers of the club this year were, president, George Smith, vice president, James Mason, secre- tary, Christopher Greene, treasurer, Michael Arnett. The Spartan Hi-Y advisor is Mr. Richard Willis.
