Stage Band FORTY Marching Band Squad Leaders The Squad Leaders are student leaders of the Marching Band. This year there were nine squad leaders who were instrumental in teaching basic marching skills to the new freshmen band members during the August practice sessions, and were responsible for the appearance and sound of their line during the football season. Concert Band The Concert Band is composed of all students in grades ten to twelve who desire to play an instrument. This one hundred and thirty piece group performed at the Winter Concert under the internationally known former director of the Ohio State University Band, Mr. Jack O. Evans. They also performed in the annual Spring Festival. Symphony Band The Symphony Band is the most select instrumental music group. It is composed of eighty players in grades nine to twelve, who are selected by Mr. Eubanks on the basis of playing audi- tions held at various times during the year. In addition to their outstanding performances in the winter and spring concerts, the band represented Cambridge High School at the District Band Contest in Zanesville where it received straight superior ratings from four well known judges. This year Sharon Wilson was the recipient of the Aaron Award for outstanding musical and scholastic accomplishment.
