Parents Visitation Day Don't Quit When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high. And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit — Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns. And many a person turns about When the might have won had they stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow — You may succeed with another blow. Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor's cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out — So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit — It’s when things seem worst that you mustn't quit. 45 Friendliest — Bill Hoblin and Nellie Fox Most Likely to Succeed — Mercy Dickerson and Ron Branch Best Looking — Joyce Ward and Todd Nida Most School Spirit — Rhonda VenOrder and Doug Rhodes Flirt and Wolf — Doug Rhodes and Shelly Kretten Most Peculiar Laugh — Lisa Rhodes and Murry Pope Most Bashful — George Kincede and Marcy Dickerson Best Dancers — Chuck Wilkerson and Tennie Fields Best Personality — Chuck Dunham and Gayle Toney Most Talkative — LaVelle Braun and Shelly Kretten Best Dressed — Kathy Higgins and Todd Nida Most Athletic — Ron Branch and Joyce Ward Most Intellectual — Marcy Dickerson and Kevin Lakey School Cut-Ups — Ron Ford and Gayle Toney Best All Around — Kevin Lakey and Joyce Ward 47 Valedictorian Kathy Anderson Salutatorian Honor Guards — Angie Lalcey. To Accomplish Great Things We Must Not Only Act But Also Dream, Not Only Plan But Also Believe Saying Good-bye . . . 48 49 50 51 Today we ll start a new life And we ll say our last goodbyes To all the friends we've grown to love With whom we’ve laughed and cried. Remembering the fun and laughter, The problems and the fears, And watching all our memories grow Throughout our high school years. The memories of the dances and the new friends that we ve met, Vacations, teachers, talking And exams we'd rather forget. Yes, High School days are precious but brief, Where all your dreams come true; It is not the end, but the beginning Of a life we ll start anew. GOOD LUCK CLASS OF 81!!!
