HEALTH Gym was a required subject for every student during his four years in high school. Although one may have complained about gym days, the majority of students found them a relaxing break from the class- room routine. A child care study was incorporat- ed into the course, which also comprised sew- ing, cooking, grooming, interior decorating, and designing. NURSE Mrs. F enchak, the school nurse, was always around in case of illness or accident. CULTURAL E RICHME T Miss Sowolla, our new art teacher, has maintained Central's high standard of art instruction. The students' objectives have been to appreciate, create, and produce art forms in various media. Kay Sowolla, B.S.fArt 'lg The library was the room most used by students and faculty alike. With the assistance of Miss Englehart and her efficient staff of stu- dent librarians, books and general information could be located quickly and easily. The addi- tion of carpet, new furniture, and some 2000 new books has made the library even better th ' ' . . an In Prevwus years Marilyn Eng1ehart,A.B.,M.Ed., Eq.M. Lib. Sci.!Librarian Mr. Gruver and Mr. Isenberg have made music an integral part of many students' daily activities. Bands -concert, marching, and pep-and the trumpet trio were instrumental organizations sponsored by the music department. If you sang, there was girls' chorus, mixed chorus, and ensemble. Of course, some people neither sang nor played an instrument, so most seniors took music appreciation in cooperation with the music and Eng- lish departments. The custodians-Mr. Berk- vstresser, Mr. Cominsky, Mr. Reese, and Mr. Noel-did a remarkable job of keeping Central clean. Sweeping wasn't all the custodians didg they fixed locks, desks, and the hundreds of other things that seemed to get broken. The cafeteria staff was re- sponsible for feeding a small army of hungry students each day. Thank you! Twenty-three bus drivers trans- ported students to and from Central Cambria daily, even though the weath- er was against them.
