I i w I V I John Gaynor, B.A.!World Historyg Homeroom 104 Is Latin really dead? According to the number of Latin classes, the answer is no.', Many students took Latin as a preparatory course for Spanish or French or as a cultural enrichment course. French and Spanish did not take a back seat to Latin, however. More students than ever before were enrolled in these courses. The language lab was in use seven periods a day by both French and Spanish students. Those who completed any of the three language courses offered entered college with a basal background in their respective subject. Cust S.
