AND FADE AS DOES THE DYING DAY The friendships which we, the Sene- iors, have acquired will soon he severed and fade as does the dying dayf, But as the darkness of the night is overcome hy the brilliance of the day, the dissolved friendships will he converted into spark- ling new ones. Our old comrades will al- ways occupy a warm place in our hearts, and through future years they will supply pleasant recollections in our meditations of things past. Perhaps coming events will provide opportune moments to re-unite these severed acquaintances. We will have wandered many a weary mile, and much time will have elapsed, hut we will always he ahle to drink a cup of kindness for things of long ago. . Mr. johnston, our princi- pal. congratulates his son, David. on the completion of his four years of study. It isn't often that a father has the opportunity to direct the high-school studies of his son. 19
