Class History On September l l94Z mne tots swarmed the Cambrla Consolldated School eager to start then' school career Thelr teacher was Loulse Condra Those who enrolled were Kaye Carton Margie McDougal joan Myers Marlanna Schmell Larry Sp1dle Bllly joe Farms Pearlene Coben Dan Mxner and Phyllls Carrol At the end of the flrst semester Phyllls Carrol moved to C110 but Dwlght Brown jomed us ln March Back agam the next year 1943 we had the same students w1th the exceptlon of Warren Relph who started wxth us ln March of the fxrst grade and we lost Larry Spldle Dwlght Brown left us m March and went to Corydon Agam the teacher was Louxse Condra At the begmmng of our second grade ln 1944 we were greeted by our teacher Betty ean Hollday The enrollment was elght puplls They were Kaye Garton Karmen Glbbs Pearlene Goben Roy McConnell joan Myers Warren Relph Larry Shrlver judlth 'vlartm and Dwlght Brown rejoxned us ln March In 1945 we were all back to start our th1rd grade wlth the exceptlon of Larry Shrwer and Pearlene Goben and jamce Buoy jomed us Our teacher was the same one that we had ID the second grade Betty jean Hollday Pearlene Goben rejolned us at the end of the flrst semester At the beglnnlng of our fourth grade ln 1946 we were all back Our new teacher was May Clark Those enrolled were Dwxght Brown Kaye Carton Karmen Glbbs Pearlene Goben joan Myers Warren Relph and Roy McConnell Our class decreased conslderably the next year There were only seven of us enrolled They were Dwlght Brown Kaye Garton Pearlene Goben Karmen Glbbs joan Myers Warren Relph and Rlchard Erb Karmen dropped out the second week of school Our teacher was Roberta Norrls Connle Moon junlor Wllhamson and La Veta Glllenwater At the end of the f1rst slx weeks we lost Connie Moon Our teacher was agaln Roberta Norrls As we entered the jumor Hxgh we st1ll had the same enrollment Wlth the addltlon of joe Moore Charles Boston jO1Ded us the thlrd slx weeks and Mary Ellen Klnser the flfth s1x weeks Our teacher was Mrs Evelyn Lew1s We entered the e1ghth grade wlth one add1t1on to our last year s enrollment Peggy Conn and agaln we had Mrs Evelyn Lew1s for our teacher We all graduated from the elghth grade together and were now ready to enter hlgh school At the begmnmg of our hlgh school career we lost several members of our class The remamlng members were Kaye Garton Dwlght Brown Warren Relph jumor W1l11amson Pearlene Goben joan Myers Charles Boston Mary Ellen Kmser and Walter Stander entered our class as a new member Begmnmg the tenth grade Carl Engle Roy New julla Smgleton Donald Stout james Sh1pley and Ell1s Cubbs jomed us We were all back to start the eleventh grade wlth the exceptlon of james Shipley but we lost Charles Boston and Ellxs Gibbs later ln the year At the begmnlng of our Senlor year we were back once more Those graduatmg ln the class of 1955 are Kaye Garton Pearlene Goben joan Myers jul1a Slngleton Mary Ellen Klnser Walter Stander Dwxght Brown Warren Relph Donald Stout Carl Engle Roy New and Floyd Wllllamson jr As each and everyone of us start on our prospectwe careers we w1l1 always treasure the memorxes of our school days Those startmg and f1n1sh1ng thexr school here m Cambr1a are Kaye Garton Pearlene Goben joan Myers and jumor Wllhamson -I . . . .
