GIRLS HAVE PRIDE IN THEIR PERFORMANCE The 1987-88 Girls’ Basketball Team’s pre-season high hopes fell somewhat short. However, the team had nothing but pride in the record they achieved, which was a big improvement from last year's. As most teams will agree, the final score doesn't always reflect everything put into Ihe game. This was no different in C.H.'s ciise. as many of the games they lost were within a ten point margin. This year's team was lucky in that they had a chance to experience the addition of three point goal to high school basketball. This was the first year ever for three pointer in high school ball, and its addition proved to be successful for the Heights. The Lady Highlanders will always have many fond memories of the times they shared on and off the court. They put a lot of hard work into their season, as their win- ning record shows. The members of the girls’ basketball team will always remember: the byrd baths, Jill and Tammi’s adventures when riding the pine. ’’Quit holding me!’’, Sharon’s sucker punch, the pleasant visit down to J-town, the exciting overtime victories, but most of all Mrs. Murphy's “one more time!
