In theory and on paper Calvin College is dedi- cated to Christ and His Word: it then has a commitment to fulfill. But is that com- mitment-if actually taken seriously-to Chris- tian action or to academic cloisters? To ogope and service or to self? Such questions must be wrestled with by the college: however, an institution is a non-living entity and is, therefore, incapable of answering such questions. These questions then have to be answered by the people who comprise that institution: administrators, faculty, students, constituents. If each of these persons is to be involved with any degree of integrity, then each has to wrestle with them and each has to discover his own answers-doubtlessly differ- ent from those of his colleagues.
