Each one of us is faced with this throughout our lives, but we are initiated into its complexities in our lives as students. We must begin to know the mind of Nature, the mind of Man, the mind of Cod-etern- ity will complete where time relinquishes the process of solution. On which campus this process occurs does not concern the individual, but it must occur for him. The institution, the organiza- tions in which he participates, and his friends help him, but finally he must proclaim himself an individual mature in knowledge, in spirit, and in understanding. 12

lt is within the context of this major concern that We as individuals face related per- sonal problems. They may be problems concerning our intellectual and spiritual goalsg they may be pertinacious family problems or social concernsg they may be psycholog- ical or moral adjustments. Though the only solution lies in the individualis attitude to his particular element of the major problem, he seeks help in this solution through friendships, in organizations and informal social groups, and in the college as a whole. This memoir attempts to depict the individual as he stands within this complex of diverging interests. Through this pictorial narration, the external portrayal reflects internal indecision. And hopefully, the student, as a necessarily maturing individual, is realistically shown attempting and accomplishing solutions through his intellectual and social activities. 14
